To end my month in Germany, my uncle and I decided to head to the Austrian Alps to climb the Friedberger Klettersteig in Tannheimer Tal (Valley). This is a pleasant entry-level via ferrata. A cable car whisks you into the alpine meadows to the start of the hike. A nice series of climbs interspersed with pleasant bits of hiking. And the bonus is that there is a good chance that you’ll see wild Chamois.
